Postdoctoral position in Sensor Data Management
The Distributed Information Systems group at EPFL is opening a postdoc position starting early 2012 and for 2 years with possibility of extension. We seek a highly motivated candidate with research background in areas such as stream data management, Semantic Web technologies, data mining and cloud computing and with interest in applications to Sensor Data Management.
The postdoc is expected to carry out research in the aforementioned areas, coordinate the work in research projects on data management for environmental monitoring and participatory sensing, funded both at the Swiss and European level, and to help in supervising PhD and Masters students.
The candidate is expected to have a PhD in computer science or a related field, a well documented high quality research record, excellent organizational and social skills, and an independent and well-structured working style.
The Distributed Information Systems group provides a highly collaborative working environment, excellent infrastructure, access to real world problems and data and a high quality team of Masters and PhD students.
