Position � General Requirements and Description
�
The Commercial Operations Team is responsible for the successful implementation of certain performance improvement and demonstration interventions, which will significantly impact the overall distribution network system operations and performance, and reduce losses. One of the selected interventions is to implement a Customer Information System (CIS) in multiple subdivisions.� The CIS is also integrated with a basic financial package.� The Programmer, will be a key member of the CIS implementation Project and will provide technical support to DISCO users.

�Position � Specific Role and Responsibilities
�
��������� Assist application developer in customizing and configuring the software to meet the needs of the DISCOs
��������� Participate in the testing of software during all stages of development and installation
��������� Assist in the development of interfaces with auxiliary input devices, the new CIS, and the legacy COBOL billing system
��������� Training DISCO personnel responsible for commercial data entry and retrieval, and the cyclical operations of the system
��������� Provide user support throughout the implementation period and initial operations of the system
��������� Other duties as assigned

Requirements: Qualifications, Experience and Skills
�
��������� University degree in Computer Science
��������� Minimum of 10 years software development IT experience
��������� Minimum of 3 years experience with C++ required,
��������� Minimum of 3 Years Oracle DB experience desired
��������� Billing software experience a plus
��������� Must be able to travel to Bangladesh for a period of 3 months
��������� Proficient in English, writing and speaking; with excellent communication and inter-personal skills
