The position below is offered under supervision of Dr. Saad Qaisar (NUST-SEECS) and guidance of Dr. Emad Felemban (Vice Dean Research, CIS, UQU-KSA) and Dr. Adnan Nasir (post-doc researcher, NTU Singapore) and a team of international consultants in Oil and Gas sector.   Job Category: Research Assistant Location: CoNNekT Lab, NUST SEECS Job ID: ReMOnG_Comm_RAship_12 Starting: Immediate TITLE: RF Communication Research Engineer, ReMOnG Project "CoNNekT Lab" is offering a full time position for Electrical/Telecommunication/RF&MW engineering graduate. Successful candidate would work on both research and applied aspects for specific part of a KACST funded project in designing backhaul RF communication techniques, algorithms, protocols and related hardware (if required) as an active particpant of KACST funded 'Reliable Monitoring of Oil and Gas Installations Using Wireless Sensor Networks' project team. The primary responsibility of the position would be to grather sensor data from the field deployment and 'reliably' transmit it to any wireless career available. Required Skills: ·      Bachelors degree (1-2 year experience) / Masters degree in Electrical/Telecommunication/RF&MW engineering. Candidates pursuing their Masters degree at NUST-SEECS are also eligible / encouraged to apply (against requirements of their Masters thesis). ·         Strong programming skills (C/C++) ·         Hands-on experience on development, deployment and optimization of communication and networking algorithms & protocols ·         Knowledge of GSM, GPRS, WiFi, WiMax, LTE, 3G technologies. ·         Knowledge of Software Defined Radios ·         Knowledge of Zigbee, DASH7, Wireless HART and SCADA ·         Know-how of transmission platforms such as GNU radio ·         Know-how of Cyber Physical Systems ·         Aptitude to pursue high impact cross-disciplinary research ·         Strong academic and publications record ·         Ability to learn independently ·         Ability to complete tasks and follow aggressive deadlines. ·         Possess excellent communication and presentation skills and strong interpersonal skills ·         Be able to balance individual creativity with working as a team   Send your applications along with a resume mentioning all your scores, publications (if any), projects undertaken till date and experience to saad.qaisar@seecs.edu.pk. Lower salary floor is Rs. 25,000 per month with a position ceiling of Rs. 40,000 per month based on experience and productivity.
