I am currently doing PHD on chinese govt. scholarship, I don't know why HEC has initiated the process of selecting students for CSE. Although as per my information HEC doesnt pay anything to the students who will do their Higher Education on Chinese Govt. Sch. So many students have applied and still so many are applying by their own and they are getting Chinese Govt. Scholarship without the involvement of HEC. HEC has nothing to do with Chinese Govt. Scho. except those who are doing job in govt. and applying for Sch. Ship from their parent orginzation.
I would suggest for all those who want to avail Chinese Govt. Sch. just visit the university website check their admission details, fill application online and get the scholarship. thats it.
Please ignore this if i am missing some updated information as per Govt. Rules.

Dear All,
I want to bring the issue regarding Chinese Government Scholarship 2012 in your notice. If you are not a candidate you can ignore it.
Few weeks ago Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan announced Chines Government Scholarships Program(CGSP) 2012 intake.
Many students send their applications after doing medical test, attesting their documents from notary public and paying the application processing fee. It cost minimum 5000/- PKR in total.
Now HEC is saying on their website: http://www.hec.gov.pk/ffsp
"As per directives of Cabinet Division dated 22-02-2012, the Cultural Exchange Scholarship Programme for the Academic Year 2012 offered by the Embassy of People's Republic of China has been transferred to the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC), Islamabad.
Applicants are requested to please contact Ministry of IPC, Islamabad for further inquiries regarding Chinese Government Scholarship Programme (CGSP)."
I contacted IPC regarding the scholarship status, they told me, they already sent their selected candidates to avail Cultural Exchange Scholarship 2012 and they don't have any knowledge about CGSP. I went to HEC and asked from the focal person at HEC, he said that it have been officially transferred to IPC. We have no idea what is going on.
It is requested to all CGSP 2012 candidates to come forward and take a legal action.
