[pakgrid] Re: Productive Scientists

Strong Point by Ashiq Anjum.

The quality of paper must be considered.

My opinion, which people may agree with or not, is to strongly focus on how much the research has contributed to the society and humanity. As far as i have seen in Pakistan the prime focus of research is to publish papers.

If the research is not transforming into some tangible form whats the use??
In my opinion, Engineers producing something tangible with which society is benefiting are better than guys scoring IF by making a stack of useless research papers.

Who doesn't know conferences are a good business these days for generating revenue.

Tanzeel
