It's overhyped, and simply not true. The attacks went on for over a
week, and ended on Wednesday. Almost no one noticed them.
Summary: http://www.nytimes.com/2013/03/28/technology/attacks-on-spamhaus-used-internet-against-itself.html?pagewanted=all
Unless you were connected to LINX in London, you're unlikely to have
noticed it. LINX itself was only affected for an hour or so.
Lastly, I haven't heard any service provider in Pakistan (TW1 or PTCL)
describe if (or how) the attack affected their operations. We've had
to deal with several submarine cable disruptions instead.
