PhD admissions are currently open at NUST School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (SEECS). I would like to invite applications for PhD in the area of Control Systems. The main focus of research will be Model Predictive Control (MPC). MPC is the most famous control technique used in the process industries today. Since it is a relatively new technique, it is the focus of several research groups. Some of my other interests include numerical analysis of control algorithms, nonlinear control, optimization techniques for control, and customizable computing for control systems.
Applicants should have a masters degree in electrical/electronic engineering or applied mathematics. Good writing skills are also required.
