- Is this gender based? – no. Open to both male/female
- Offered / approx min salary – Very much related to experience and area. However for what we are offering: Minimum should be USD 3,000 ( for experience around 7/8 years).
- Is salary negotiatable? Depending on certain variables? – Salary is negotiable, but the final decision will be made by management. And kindly note, they wish to hire before June 2013.
- Children's education, specific number of children+ ages+ fee /year – provide school fees for two (2) children under 18, RM 10,000 (about USD 3,000) per child, per year.
- Is it taxable salary? Percentage? Salary is taxable, and again this varies with salary. But generally around 20%
- Non PHD not eligible – Strictly. Only those with PhD Should apply. Only for petroleum engineering we might consider, but definitely we would prefer PhD.
- Contract period – 2 years, renewable based on performance. Some of thier expatriate lecturers have been with them for more than 10 years.
- Accommodation on campus – Not provided. However housing costs is very cheap.
- Off campus accommodation: what is approx cost between USD100 (normal 3 or 4 bedroom house) to 400 (high-end accommodation).
- Who pays air fare to
– It will be borne by the university.Malaysia - Leaves / bonus, increment, allowances – Annual leave – 20 days, no increment – during the contract. However upon renewal it will be considered based on performance. Bonus is performance based, but generally if they meet the minimum requirement it will be 2 months or more per annum. Cost of living allowance is provided, depending on grades offered (this can be considered as provision for accommodation)
- Minimum experience as subject teacher/ HOD – Generally candidate should have more than 10 years teaching experience
