To prepare the participants to use OpenCV for their research and
development projects related to Computer Vision and Image Processing.
Outline:
Setting up OpenCV
Configuring OpenCV libraries in Visual C++
Writing a simple `Hello World' of OpenCV
Introducing the OpenCV primitives
Image Acquisition & Display
Loading images and videos from files
Capturing live video from camera
Saving images and videos
Manipulating Images
Applying Filters – Smoothening, Sharpening etc.
Applying Edge detection
Histograms & Equalization
Transforming Images
Morphological Operations – Erosion, Dilation etc.
Global transformations – DFT, DCT, Hough etc.
OpenCV for Computer Vision
Motion detection and tracking
Calculating optical flow
Human face & eyes recognition
Equipment:
Multimedia Projection Display
Computer Workstations (per participant)
USB WebCam (per participant)
Software:
Visual Studio 2010 (or Visual Studio 2008)
Adobe Acrobat Reader
