Dear friends and colleagues,
Following the great success of our bi-annual WFAR workshops at LUMS, Pakistan and Dagstuhl, Germany in 2011 and 2012, we are pleased to announce that the 4th Workshop on Field and Assistive Robotics (WFAR4) will be held on June 13-14, 2013 at Schloss Dagstuhl, Wadern, Germany. The aim of the workshop is to bring researchers together and address open issues in all aspects of field and assistive robotics in the outdoor environments. WFAR4 will provide a forum for presenting and exchanging information on current research activities, developments and applications and focus on challenges faced by the community in developing service robots for outdoor environments.
We invite you or members of your team to participate. Therefore, please send a one page abstract of your presentation till May 1, 2013. Contributions are invited on basic research as well as on relevant applications related to but not limited to
* Mapping of the environment
* Terrain Classification
* Autonomous Navigation
* Robot Localization
* Sensing and Perception
* Software Architectures
Please inform us as soon as possible, if you are interested in participation.

Next edition of the workshop (WFAR5) is being planned for Fall 2013 at LUMS campus. In case, you are not able to make it to Dagstuhl due to travel contraints or your other commitments, we will consider your contribution for the Fall edition.
