This is an invite for participation in our user study that attempts to study co-relation between user's social network activities and his/her like or dislike for personalized Web search. This is part of an ongoing work in relation to my PhD thesis on "Utilizing Social Breadcrumbs for a Balanced Approach to Personalized Web Search."
At this stage I am recruiting participants for evaluation of a search engine that aims to provide an enriching personalized experience to the users. The evaluation phase involves interaction with a search engine that indexes blog articles from two famous Pakistani newspapers: The News and Express Tribune. It is part of an ongoing project of Pakistan's first academic search engine:

Based on a pre-defined set of queries, you will have to test two sets of results for each query. You will have to let us know which results satisfy you more and why. We will need access to your Facebook and/or Twitter data for the second phase of the study. From the set of participants for this second phase, one lucky participant will be selected for a prize where we will buy him a book from Amazon of his choice (of up to 60 euros), or he/she can chose to opt for cash prize.
