The responsibilities are:
- Hands-on experience of Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008
- Installation, configuration and upgrading of Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience of designing, developing and managing Database Management systems
- Performing Backups and Restore
- Database Tuning and Performance Monitoring
- Good understanding of Indexes – Maintaining Fragmentation and Statistics Analysis
- Implementing and Monitoring Replication
- Optimizing SQL Server Queries and Stored Procedures using Query Execution Plan
- Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges)
- Do general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams
