Panel Discussion on "The opportunities and challenges of Industry –academia interaction in Pakistan for Applied Research"
Academia & Industry are vital components of every society. Unfortunately, these two identities do not interact much in Pakistan. In order to bridge this gap, a panel discussion is proposed in the upcoming 14th IEEE International Multi topic conference (INMIC2011) to be held at Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi on Dec 22-24, 2011.

This panel will present position statements of experts from academia and industry and provide a discussion forum to identify the prospects & problems in carrying out Meaningful R&D Activities at Higher Engineering Institutions (HEI) in collaboration with local Industry.
The panelist will be high profile figures from HEI (VC/Rectors), industries(CEOs) and professionals from government R&D organizations . The panel discussion will be moderated by Dr. ShakeelKhoja, IBA,Karachi and Dr. Qurat-ul -Ain Tariq, NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi.
