A research assistant is needed to do research under the supervision of Dr. Amine Marref in the department of computer science at Umm Al-Qura University, Mekkah, Saudi Arabia.
The research to be conducted is in the area of real-time systems and most specifically in worst-case execution-time (WCET) analysis. The main tasks will be developing solutions for various timing-analysis problems and developing and maintaining a tool chain for the various stages of the WCET analysis.
To be considered for this post, the research assistant must have the following:
- A master degree in computer science or computer engineering.
- Proven research potential.
- Excellent Java software development skills.
- Extensive knowledge about hardware architectures especially ARM processors.
- Excellent technical English writing.
The starting date is ASAP. The successful candidate will be appointed as a lecturer at the department with zero or minimum teaching load. The position is contract-based, renewable yearly subject to satisfactory progress.
