Call for Participation
We invite applications from PhD students at any stage of their doctoral studies on CTS related research topics. This Doctoral Dissertation Colloquium will be part of the 2013 International Conference on Collaboration Technologies and Systems (CTS 2013) in San Diego, California, USA, May 20-24 , 2013. http://cts2013.cisedu.info/home.
The intent of the DDC is to bring together PhD students who have not defended their thesis before CTS 2013. The main goal of this session is to foster excellence in CTS related research by providing students feedback and advice that are particularly relevant to their doctoral studies and career development. Each participant will be paired up with a senior researcher who will act as a mentor, providing constructive remarks and guidance on future plans.
PhD. students are invited to participate by proposing an extended abstract of up to 3 pages (written in English, in the posted IEEE format). Please see the CTS 2013 web site for more details.
This colloquium will give participants the opportunity to present their ongoing research in a friendly forum. They will obtain valuable feedback from conference attendees, particularly senior researchers and experts in the field in a constructively critical and informal atmosphere. Students presenting their work at CTS 2013 may apply for Student Travel Grant that we hope to make available (tentative) as posted on the CTS 2013 web site.
