Assalam o Alaikum

It is about an advertisement appeared on Page 7 of Daily Jang Lahore edition dated 11 Aug 12 http://e.jang.com.pk/08-11-2012/lahore/page7.asp. This happens when we choose a wrong man for a right job. University of Engineering and Technology Lahore could not find an honorable educationist in the nation of 170 Million  to put him/her as its Registrar. The advertisement begins with the word "WANTED". It could not be worst than this. Looks like noble words to the effect of "Faculty Required" or "Join UET in Nation Building" are not known to the honorable Registrar. It does not stop here. The UET Lhr management seems to be in great haste. The last date for submission of applications is set to be 17 Aug 12. This means applicants have only 03 days to submit the applications before it gets too late. Knowing the fact that Eid ul Fitar is around the corner and people have already started proceeding for Eid vacations (20-22 Aug 12) and Independence Day on 14 Aug 12, many potential/capable candidates will not be able to apply. To make the things ugly, it looks like a blatant effort to favor some special people. This is injustice, least to say. It puts a question mark on the selection process and hints at something fishy deep in there to begin with. Through this forum of learned people I request Chancellor UET Lhr to order publication of a suitably worded advertisement afresh setting last date for submission of applications giving at least 30 days after Eid ul Fitar so that maximum applicants could avail this opportunity.
