The present Government's desire to bring fresh blood to HEC is understandable but to limit the candidates to a certain age group is ridiculous. Such restrictions reflect nineteenth century thinking and are based on obsolete retirement age data. It takes almost a quarter of century to gain the kind of senior management experience that HEC desires and yet they want candidates to be below the age of 55. Further, the team of Naqvi & Ata did a good job initiating progress on physical sciences but they failed miserably in promoting research in social sciences such as Economics. The result is a lopsided progress in favor of the Information Technology sector at the expense of other sectors.

Dear Dr Khair Sb;

All MP Scale positions are contract based and an extension can be granted only for one tenure at the end of the contract. As per MP Scale rules, after one extension, job need to be re-advertised. Dr Naqvi can also apply and if he is more suitable candidate then he may be selected again.
