[pakgrid] Synopsis FPGA Tools License Cost?

 

Asslam-o-Allykum All,

Does anyone has any idea about the cost of Synopsis Complete FPGA design suite (mainly, their Synplify premier 2011 release) for Academic / Professional use. It is available anywhere in Pakistan?.

Secondly, How different it actually is from conventional vendor based tools like Xilinx ISE or PlanAhead?. I am talking about performance / quality of results / reliability / Run time metrics. 

Can an individual get the Synopsis solvnet ID? or is it only available for companies?

Is there any university in Pakistan member of Synopsis University and partner program.?
