About the Organization: Habib University is a liberal arts and science institution being established by Habib University Foundation as a world class center of excellence in higher learning in Karachi, Pakistan. Beginning in Fall of 2014, Habib University will offer undergraduate programs, with a unique blend of interdisciplinary education in Science, Engineering, Arts, Humanities and the Social Sciences. The University will start classes with 200 students and will continue to grow in numbers in subsequent years.
Scope of the Job: Under the direction of the Provost, the Head of the Office of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, healthy and supportive environment and culture that synthesizes the intellectual, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual development of our students in a holistic way. The individual is the primary administrator responsible for student enrollment and student life activities including career services, counseling, health services, residence life, student development, leadership development, and judicial affairs. The individual will provide strategic leadership in advancing the recruitment, retention, and enrollment goals of Habib University.
The Profile: The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage the delivery of excellent student services and proactively engage with all university stakeholders in their efforts to support the students as they matriculate through the institution. He/she must possess the knowledge, understanding, and strategic insight into major trends in student life, development and services to keep the institution competitive. This person must be committed to: student development, customer service, structural learning and programming that meet student needs and enhance student life.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Strategically lead an effective enrollment management team for all academic programs
2. Implement and utilize a data-informed, comprehensive approach to build enrollment and strategically leverage financial aid
3. Collaborate with Marketing and Communications in marketing the academic programs to prospective students
4. Provide leadership and manage departments that provide student learning and development opportunities: Community Service and Outreach, Student Activities, Athletics, On Campus Recreation, and Student Leadership
5. Provide leadership and manage departments that provide student and university-wide support services: Campus Safety & Security, Student Health Center, Student Counseling Center, Student Council and Food Services, Major Events Coordinator, Student Housing Support and Judicial Affairs
6. Design and execute annual budgets ensuring detailed accounting consistent with School and University policies and procedures

7. Collaborate with faculty and academic deans to identify, create and promote new initiatives (academic program, geographic outreach, etc.) for learning and development of students outside the classroom
8. Coordinates with campus constituencies and community leaders in developing and managing co-curricular learning and service opportunities
9. Works with the Student Affairs staff, student groups and other members of the University community in developing extracurricular programming assuring integration with the academic life of the institution and encouraging student personal growth and development
10. Helps establish a student culture where diversity is encouraged and where students learn to respect differences, take responsibility for their actions, and exercise leadership
11. Provides leadership in and is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of policies and regulations pertaining to student life, especially those related to alcohol and drug usage, student conduct and student residences
12. Develops and coordinates policies and procedures relative to all student activities; oversees annual production of Student Handbook and other documents
13. Administers the policies and regulations of the University as they pertain to students, including internal University judicial and disciplinary procedures
14. Inform Dean and leadership team of trends and issues related to Admissions, Student Services, Student Financial Services, Registration, and Career Services
15. Serves as a member of Provosts senior management team
16. Serves as ambassador for Habib University with alumni, parents, students, neighbors, community leaders, and professional colleagues
8. Coordinates with campus constituencies and community leaders in developing and managing co-curricular learning and service opportunities
9. Works with the Student Affairs staff, student groups and other members of the University community in developing extracurricular programming assuring integration with the academic life of the institution and encouraging student personal growth and development

Qualifications: Doctorate or Master's degree (minimum) with at least ten years of increasingly responsible experience in Student Affairs at a small, private, liberal arts institution.
Skills and Competencies:
1. Successful experience in staff supervision, leadership development, student development, advising, crisis intervention, student activities, and career services
2. Enrollment management experience
3. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups and individuals (oral and written)
4. Significant experience with program leadership and development, budget administration, research, assessment, and short/long-range strategic planning
5. A leadership philosophy that includes motivation, inspiration and team spirit
6. Evidence of strong multi-tasking and excellent communication skills required
