Dear All,

The demand for eHealth is growing remarkably in Pakistan and other developing countries, but realizing the lack of capacity in these areas. eHealth Association of Pakistan (www.ehap.net.pk) and Tech4Life Enterprises (www.tech4life.biz) have decided to collaboratively bridge the gap by offering a series of online short-courses in Pakistan. The first of these courses is being offered on 'Mobile Health (mHealth)' on Feb 11 - Mar 08, 2013.
The course on 'mHealth' offers opportunity to health providers, managers, and IT professionals to learn about mHealth and facilitate its appropriate use in the context of Pakistan. Following are the key objectives of the course:
-          Enhance understanding of mHealth and its use for strengthening health systems.
       -          Improve knowledge about the mHealth solutions, best practices, technology and appropriate use in different situations.
-          Develop capacity in planning, executing and evaluating mHealth solutions.
The current course offered by the eHealth Association of Pakistan and Tech4Life Enterprises, will be completely online, using recorded sessions, online-reading material, discussion forums and quizes. The course will be facilitated by some renowned experts in mHealth from Pakistan and around the world. At the end of the course, participants will be able to understand the concepts of mHealth, and use mHealth applications in their programs.

About eHealth Association of Pakistan (eHAP): Formed in 2008, eHAP is the flag bearer for eHealth development in Pakistan through stakeholder engagement and strategy development with the government. It is the National representative member for International Society of Telemedicine and eHealth (ISfTeH) and International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA), along with a official partnership with American Telemedicine Association. To date, eHAP has conducted three international eHealth conferences in Karachi (2010) and Islamabad (2011) and Lahore (2012) respectively, and many eHealth Awareness and Advocacy sessions in different Institutions of Pakistan.
