Salamoalikum

Hope this will reach every one in good health. I need opinion from you
telecom engineers.

These days quite frequently we come across the suggestion to move to
KSA with azad visa as telecom job market is still good there. But
still there are few who say that now job market is not as good. I need
to know from the people settled and working in KSA.

I have 2 years RF Planning & Optimization Experience over 3G EvDO.
Will it be a good move to migrate to KSA in my case? I can work in
other concerned departments as well.

Secondly what is a rough estimation of time that after getting azad
visa people get the job. I know it depends upon the individual but
there must be some average time period. One have to keep this in mind
as during that period one wont be earning any thing so arrangements
have to be made for living.

Seeking your kind guidance.

Dear if you single taking risks would be good, if you are married, then think twice before taking such option.

Dear Arslan,
I am working in KSA , like many people here i also came on azaad visa 2years back and got job in telecom.
But now situation is not that well as it was 2-3 years back.
Now-a-days, more focus is on hiring saudi engineers because of pressure from Saudi Govt.
However, if you come then you can get job but not so easily and quickly , it will take some time.

Assalam u Alaikum ,

Many people are saying get to the Saudi as early as you can ... its not the
cake walk either itself ... you have to handle many factors after you have
arrived here ....

1:- Ensure the people from whom you are purchasing, will give you visa,
means not a fraudulent.

2:-Ensure Your kafil status is not in red(Means he don't have any arrears
of saudi govt) before purchasing visa,if this is so, after reaching here
you wont be able to make your work permit until unless he gets clear and
this may take from 3 months to so on time...

3:- Ensure that your agent is giving you a technical visa as non technical
visa holders are not allowed to bring there families to KSA later, like
Labour visa , mason visa , barber visa etc.

4:- Ensure that your agent or kafeel gives you your work permit within one
month of arrival if he is late than this, there may be anything wrong
somewhere...

5:- You must put yourself prepare mentally for a 6 month time to make
yourself settle in saudia, you may get early but this can also happen.

6:- Last but not least markete is ok not V.good to rush through for saudia
so its a better market than Pakistan after clearing out all above 5 steps.

6:- Try to get a company visa to come here through different recruiter
organization with minimum 3-5 years of work experience.Thats quite an easy
and secure way to come here for job.

Best of Luck to every One ...

If u are interested in networking then u should do thesis on IPMPLS. It will be better for your future either in study or job. It is an emerging technology in telecom sector.
there are also many topics
i . e wireless broadband network planning and implementation. These are basically based on theoretic.
If u want to project then u can perform b/m task which is provided by Mr Abdullah.

Also NS2 is used for research at PHD level, in protocols development and Optimization. You have to Install Linux first and then NS2. Sis also you can get a chance to write research paper on your work.Hope you like this idea the whole project will take one month if you give it 9 hours per day unstoppable work.and for further details Google it or get help from your supervisor( Wireless Comm teachers).
