Hi all,
I don't want to mock anyone's opinion here but it is very surprising to see the entire media, scientific community and our educated individuals debating over this seemingly very simple issue. The ugliest part is that this whole episode is no more a debate on a scientific discovery but rather has been shaped into a contention between some thermodynamics-law-obsessed brains against a great inventor supported by enthusiastic, patriotic and open-minded scientists. Whatever the outcome of this 'discovery' may be, a huge number of our divided society ppl will believe for their whole lives that there was an Einstein in this country who did a miracle but was opposed by many and thus denied the deserved fame. (Watch Talat's program today if you want to know how)
Generating Hydrogen from Water is not a rocket science. A 10th grader can do that. And then can use this hydrogen for combustion anywhere. The thermos bottle size water kit of Mr. Agha Waqar does the following basic thing.
1. H2O + Energy (Taken from somewhere) ----> H +OH (means he did electrolysis and made H2 in this step)
2. H2 + O2 -----> H2O + Energy (used by car)
What is most upsetting is that all the scientist that we have been seeing in these talks shows argue on the fact that there was a demonstration in which the car was driven for several miles. Nobody is actually asking Agha Waqar that what is that God's recipe that he has used in the electrolysis step that (constant) energy intake is not required. If he has such recipe than there is no reason to debate any further. Bravo! Nobel prize should be on its way.
I am not an expert on thermodynamics. But the point I want to make is that anybody, from Dr. AQ Khan to Samar Mubarak to those who have endorsed this idea in their emails on this forum are educated people who are skeptical and unsure of the most basic principle on which their whole education and, in fact, the equilibrium of nature is based. It is not a question of how open you are to new discoveries. It's about how sure you are about the knowledge you have used to build every single machine till date without failure. We need to be open to new discoveries but that doesn't mean we should be so eager, desperate and ready to doubt practiced scientific principles on a claim that sounds absolutely ridiculous. Don't these laws deserve some defense? Some respect?
Whatever Waterkit saga unfolds, it definitely is a sad story. I personally believe that the endorsement of the idea by people like Dr. AQ, that PCSIR chairman and Samarmubarak puts a lot about these people at stack. If somebody can give up on a basic law so easily, it just makes their education and expertise just so wasted.
Never mind, I sincerely pray that Engr. Agha Waqar is right, nullifies entire physics and we have a Nobel Laureate from Pakistan this time Pakka Musalman. But the laws we have used so far needs our respect. There is no shame in being stubborn and defend them until proven wrong.
Regards,
Rizwan Mumtaz
running an Engine on Hydrogen is not a Big deal just like CNG but the thing is that can we run the Car just on water without an external source. its an Enginer Sink

Let's also add that the media jumped onto this without any knowledge of the subject.On kamran khans show, the chairman of PCSIR and Dr AQ Khan made statements that were beyond reason.Bottom line is, I think people need to understand that producing HHO or pure hydrogen and running an engine is no big deal. The problem is with the energy levels produced. The efficiency differential is what makes this "waterkit" a hoax.The media still seems to think that running an engine on Hydrogen is a big deal.On Aug 1, 2012 4:25 AM, "Asif Mufti" <anmufti@yahoo.com> wrote:
Probably a hoax nothing more nothing less. Yeah sure the PM will declare that loadshedding is over tomorrow.In 1990 there was similar claim - Cold Fusion - but the claim was not as extravagant as suggested in the article i.e. full working model. There was intense investigation to duplicate cold fusion experiment and corroborate the results. It was determined after thorough scientific investigation that the University of Utah scientists made an error. During this attempt to verify, of course, every possible variant of the experiment (and that numbered in hundreds) that was conceivable was checked .... therefore I doubt if anything was left out and hence I doubt what is claimed here.There is a due scientific process and it appears the gentleman bypassed and approached the media and politicians. I wish it was true but all evidence (from Cold Fusion experiments and related) suggests otherwise.Asif
