The Department of Bioinformatics at Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Islamabad, is pioneer in the field of Bioinformatics/Computational Biology, offering degree programs in Bioinformatics since 2002. With its highly-qualified, dedicated faculty, state-of-the-art labs and other facilities, the Department provides quality education to the students.
Currently, the Department has following vacant positions. Interested candidates with relevant qualification and experience are encouraged to apply.
1. Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor: Bioinformatics / Computational Biology / Systems Biology (01 position)
Qualification & Experience: PhD (Bioinformatics); excellent research credentials with good publication record; relevant teaching/research experience; successful supervision of MS/PhD students; good communication skills.
2. Junior Lecturer : Bioinformatics (01 position)
Responsibilities : To conduct Labs.
Qualification & Experience: BS, MSc, MS Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology; experience in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry and Microbiology experiments including cell culture, DNA/RNA/Protein extraction and characterization, PCR, Gel electrophoresis, Spectroscopy, preparation and sampling of microbial cultures and documentation and analysis of data; candidates with practical experience and motivation towards research will be given preference.
