[pakgrid] Scholarships for MS and PhD and BS at Japan

MEXT Embassy Research Scholarships Japan for Pakistani students.

Scholarships are for Undergraduate, Masters and Doctoral Studies.

Deadline for the Scholarship is 31st March, 2013.

A few tips shared by a previous MEXT Pakistani scholar Ahmed Rasheed

I would like to share a couple of tips:

1. If your applying for a Masters degree then do not worry much about the research proposal. A one page well formulated proposal would be enough.

2. Dont use very difficult vocabulary as Japanese professors are your audience and trust me that your English is already better from theirs.

3. The 'Study Plan' form should be very carefully filled in. It is the only document you should be thinking of spending time on. Read it again and again until your satisfied and once your satisfied make someone else read it.

4. Do not miss out on sending in all documents that are relevant to your application and try to tell them why they should shortlist you.

5. If possible, try to get in contact with a professor at a Japanese university who would be ready to write a letter of acceptance for you stating that he would be willing to accept you in case you are awarded the scholarship. The better the university the prof is from the more the document will have value.

6. Be very specific in your answers and be very original.

7. Try to link your proposals to problems currently Pakistan faces it will also help a bit.
