Dear Dr Afzal sb,Yes you are right, Pakistani Universities / colleages are also listed as users of Linux / Open Source software i.e. for Network servers DNS, FTP, Web Server, LMS server, Samba fileserver etc are being used for research in network protocol we use NS2 software & for High performace computing cluster we use High Performance linpack, means there is big list for multiple things.I am not sure about any directory for Pakistani companies but I normay follow below mentioned links from Freesoftware foundation and wikipedia for list of open source packages; also can used as guideline for working on Open Source software for future updates.
I would appreciate if someone from this group can share more information about directory.Regards,Babar--Babar Zahoor | Open Source Evangelist | Founder Pakistan Open Source Foundation - LinuxUrduCBTs.com | Skype Babar.Zahoor | M +0092 301 8500430 | E Babar@LinuxUrduCBTs.com | W http://www.LinuxUrduCBTs.com | Open Source Group | http://www.facebook.com/OpenSourceEducation
