Re: [pakgrid] Changing Univ. on TTS

Dear Dr Sb

TTS statutes does not stop anyone to change the job.To change the job is fundamental right of any individual. In my opinion in both scenarios procedure of leaving the University will be same. After giving permanent tenure, notice period can be more as e.g. in Punjab University notice period is 1 month for contract employees and for permanent employees it is 3 months.

Long term benefits on TTS will come only once you r professor on TTS as before that once you complete tenure period as Assistant Professor you will be on tenure track for associate professor and same is situation once you are tenured associate professor your tenure track period for professor will start.

Regards

Usman

Subject: [pakgrid] Changing Univ. on TTS

AssalamoAlaiakaum Dear Colleagues,

A faculty member employed on TTS in a university can change his/her institute and join another University on TTS? If yes, can anyone highlight and compare the procedure in the following two scenarios:

i) If Faculty member leaves the current university after resignation?
ii)
If Faculty member leaves the current university after completing his/her contract?

What about the long-term benefits of TTS (e.g. Tenured TTS) in both cases.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I appreciate your time.

Regards,
