Re: Query || Career after Cisco Certification(s)

Dear All

There are basically 2 Types of Networks/jobs/companies

Enterprise Networks ----e.g; Descon, Gourmet, textile, Govt, and all the jobs coming in newspaper are mostly Enterprise network (the companies who have Private networks, their own network, servers, bandwidth, branch offices ) ---- network admin, system admin, tech support engineer, system support engr, IT manager are all different words for the SAME JOB

Service Provider networks ---e.g; PTCL, Wateen, witribe, qubee, brainnet, (Where u work as REAL NETWORK ENGINEER, doing routing, troubleshooting , and extensive learning on latest routers and switches like cisco 76xx) MT, AM, Tech support engineer, in short...EVRYBODY in the IP CORE of PTCL and NOC of wateen, witribe will do IP engineering
A rough comparison b/w enterprise and service provider is........ 70 / 30 % jobs

But infect those who i know with ccie are getting much much more than just 200k. But its never easy doing ccie its more like the CA of networking. But if u get to ccnp the salary will depend on ur ability and experience.

Re: Query || CCNP or CCIP

Posted by: "Sajjad Ur rehman bhatti" sajjad4bstelecom@yahoo.com   sajjad4bstelecom

Wed Mar 7, 2012 7:06 am (PST)

After CCNA, JUST Go for CCNP (R&S)

WHY ?

Because in the new course of CCNP, ROUTE and Switch,  voice, security and wireless has been removed from CCNP and ccnp has become a BASIC subject like CCNA, in which u study ROUTE and SWITCH deeply (and i am sure you understand it very well that ROUTING and SWITCHING are ACTUAL basic subjects of IP NETWORKING

study ccnp, get ccnp certified THEN......choose ur track..........CCIP (if u hav interest in service porvider), CCSP and CCVP (for enterprise networks)

For further details and discussions, join  www.facebook.com/ccnafasttrack

Thanks

Talha,

You can do CCNP but not get the Certificate unless u complete the CCNA.

Check the cisco website also.

May ALLAH give u whats best for u.
