Re: [pakgrid] Pakistan Made PAC PAD

Hi,

I just came to know that the prices mentioned on the website (http://www.cpmc.pk) are exclusive of sales tax and when you go to buy them you have pay sales tax. I totally agree with the fact that in Pakistan you have to pay taxes on everything but Its a local made product and if we really want to promote local research that we have to exempt them from taxes so as to encourage the people to buy them. I would just copy/paste a local buyers comment so that every one should know how our local buyer thinks about this situation.

I have contacted the shop 15 at Saddar the price of e-book is 9500 not 8500 as mentioned on the website. Website does not display that sales tax has to paid

So if u go to buy pac-ipad it will be 15500 + 2400 = 18000. In this price buy new NOVO 7 ELF which is far more better pad. 1.2 many core processor, 1 GB DDR3 with 8 GB builtin storage

check google and decide

Pakistanion ka kaam 2 number hi hotay hain.

I personally don't agree with the above comments but this is ground reality which we all has to face. I really believe that the manufacturers should consider this aspect and do something to avoid this problem.

Dear Sir

Please carryout with your venture of building computers and related euiqpment to increase the export potentail of Pakistan. Listen carefully to all the comments/suggestions of productive and constructive critisim. And put aside all those which based on illogical, off the cuff, discouraging and destructive criticisms.

We have already missed the bandwagon on CS/IT research, innovation and out sourcsing potential, resulting into high rate of unemployment of our educated youngmen/ladies. Look at the countries like Malaysia, Indnesia, India Hongkong, Tawian, Thailand etc., these countries got their independence one to two years after us. Now compare economic, technical and manufacturing capacity to that of Pakistan and you find that Pakistan way behind to these in foreign exchange earnings and economic develoment sectors.
India is earning $10B per annum by providing CS/IT and ebusimess services to developped countries.

Thank you.

Yes, ofcourse. When we started the Defense Export Promotion Organization, DEPO (including IDEAS 2000) in the year 2000, our defense exports was in a meager 2 digit US Million Dollars annually. Now with all out support from our private sector defense vendors and spin-offs, our annual defense exports have crossed the 3 digit US Million Dollars figure. With more initiatives like this we could further push it upwards. So lets encourage the Defense Industrial Group to go more commercial as it is your and mine taxpayer's money which has gone into it and we should be happy to get some return from it.

PAC PAD is available in singapore plaza Rawalpindi. Research in the Defence industry, the world over has been responsible for many commercial products. Why limit the defence production capability and capacity to defence products alone? We are selling the Mashaq trainer aircraft, all sorts of weapons and even tanks! The defence production capacity and its spin off, is a a national resource, we must fully utilize it to serve the interests of Pakistan.
