totaling 16 years of formal education from an accredited university. Recent
graduates are strongly encouraged to apply, except for MBA applicants, who
require 3 years of work experience. ****
For the *PhD* degree program, eligible applicants will have a Master's,
M.Phil or comparable degree (a minimum of 18 years of formal education)
from an accredited university. It is highly desirable that candidates have
work experience in teaching, research, or the public sector in Pakistan.****
For both the Masters and PhD programs, all academic disciplines are
eligible, except clinical medicine or PhD in Business Administration. The
Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is required for all applicants. A minimum
score of 136 is required on each section of the GRE examination, with a
higher score on the section most applicable to your field of study.
Applicants must also possess a high level of fluency in spoken and written
English. Short-listed applicants will be required to bring proof of TOEFL
registration with them to the interview.****
All successful candidates are required to sign a contract with USEFP and,
for successful Ph.D. candidates, a bond with the HEC that binds them to
return to Pakistan immediately after their program in the U.S. and serve
the country for the number of years equivalent to the length of their
scholarship program. This contract is redeemable on a year-for-year basis
minimum of two years; as long as a person fulfills the service requirement,
he or she will pay nothing.****
Cycle****
Applications are accepted each year in February and the deadline to submit
application is around May. The application review and interview process
continues until September and the results are announced in mid-October.
After selection, the university submission and placement process continues
until February and visa interviews take place until June. The departure to
the U.S. commences in July and onwards, depending on the universities
reporting dates.****

The exact pay of AM (technical & BZ wing) in PTCL is 30,000/- This includes every thing (Your basic pay, home allowance, other allowances). But in Case of HR AMs the pay status is different.

Please don't loose hope it happens to everyone nowadays. One big reason is that the telecom sector is quite saturated and unfortunately due to lack of R and D there is not much professional growth in telecom sector in Pakistan. The operators are just service providers providing GSM services only. Unfortunately, after working in any operator like Mobilink or Telenor you won't gain much out of it. In case, if you would like to move abroad after sometimes then with the operator's experience , this won't help you because we are not up to date with the technology trends and other people would demand for the skills related to the equipment which they are using.Â
I strongly recommend you to apply for the jobs related to software/hardware development. There are a lot of software houses who work on telecommunication projects. The projects are mostly related to software development of either any architecture or it could something related to image processing which involves development of codecs etc. As, there are a lot of outsourced companies from USA and Europe who are working here and developing different products. You should target those companies and believe me you will get a job in one month because they always need people and the scope of development is quite big. Moreover, people from these software houses have the possibilities to work abroad because they normally work on latest products and trends. A lot of companies have skill shortage issue in the area of IT so it will be really good for your professional career.Â
I am just saying all this on behalf of my personal experience. I am also a telecom graduate moreover I have done masters as well. People are saying absolutely right that without reference/sifarish/pawa you can't get in because of this saturated market. I started doing a job in one of the software house and now I am receving much more positive responses even from Abroad. So, I wish you all the best and success for your future.Â

Connect a standalone system with the modem or CPE of ISP. Then go to ubuntu.com and download an operating system without using Download accelerator. Check the average speed in KiloBytes per second. If it is above or equal to 256KiloBytes/Second then it means you are having proper connectivity. If it is less then your 2 Mbps CIR is not perfect.

You can install Manage Engine Net Flow( your device must have functionality) which will give you exact usage per user or You can install Zabbix on Linux or BSD Unix with two NICs.
